Our 4-Stage Smoke Damage Restoration Process
- Assessment and containment. We identify the soot type, map how far the smoke traveled, and set HEPA air scrubbers and containment so cleaning does not re-spread residue. Everything is photographed and scoped in Xactimate.
- Soot removal by surface. Dry-sponge on flat painted surfaces, wet cleaning with degreasers where residue is oily, specialty cleaning for glass, metal, stone and electronics. HVAC and ductwork are cleaned so the system stops recirculating soot.
- Odor neutralization. Thermal fogging to reach the same places the smoke went, hydroxyl generators for occupied spaces, ozone treatment for vacant ones, and sealing of porous surfaces that cannot be fully cleaned.
